Brief
Description about the activities of the Labour Officer:-
Enforcement of various Labour laws,
Collection of non-tax Revenue, Industrial disputes prevention of strikes,
lockouts, closures, settlement, constant interaction with Collector &
other Official and keep close watch with law and order Authority to
maintain healthy industrial relation and peace.
Implementation of Awards, orders, disposal of complaints, creating
awareness among the workers on the benefits of labour laws, prevention of
migration of Labour and Child Labour, Exploitation and adducting the
employers, convener-District Child/Women Labour Cell, Recommended Project
Proposal of District Level Tasks Force Committee, for Bidi workers,
ensuring welfare benefits such as Medical, housing, I. Cards and other
schemes. Recommending the
application for trade union registration, compilation of statistical
returns, Assembly questions and other replies and disposal of
Establishment matters.
