Autography
There are 6 nos. of film halls in this District of which one hall
namely new Janata Talkies, Nayagarh is not screening film shows due to
ownership dispute. Due to non production of various documents the licences
of Godipada Talkies has been put up for cancellation. The position of rest
cinema halls is given below.

Jail
There are 4 Sub-Jails in this district located at Nayagarh,
Daspalla, Khandapara and Ranapur. Appointment of non official visitors for
the Sub-Jail, Ranpur is valid till 14.2.2007 and Nayagarh Sub-Jail till
24.8.06. Steps are being taken for appointment of non-official visitors in
respect of Daspalla and Khandapada shortly.

Atrocity
cases
During the year2005-06 , 29 cases have been instituted for joint enquiry. Out of that joint enquiry in respect of 6 (six) no. of cases has been completed leaving a balance of 23 nos. of cases.
Explosive
Out of total 11(eleven) explosive licenses in form no 24 to posses and sale of light fire works,9(nine) licenses have been renewed till 31.3.06 and the balance 2 licenses have not been renewed due to non receipt of NOC and noncompliance of the objection by the license holders.
As regards
renewal of explosive license in form no 20 to manufacture light fire works
of 7(seven) explosive
licenses ,two licenses have been renewed till 31.3.06 and others 5(five)
licenses have not been renewed due to non receipt of NOC from Fire
prevention officer,Bhubaneswar and noncompliance of the objection raised
by Fire prevention officer,Bhubaneswar
