The jurisdiction of the District Employment Exchange covers the whole of Revenue Districts of Nayagarh.

and submission of names. Employment
Market Information:-
The Employment Market Information unit has been started functioning since September 1995. Under the provision of Employment Exchanges (CNV) Act,1959 and amendments, thereafter, all the establishments i.e. Public Sector, Private Sector State Govt.Quasi, Local Bodies are liable to render quarterly return to the Local Employment Exchange in the form E.R.-1 and in the Form E.A.-11. Regarding employment position of their establishment, during w005, a total anumber of 225 establishments in public sector and 2002 establishments in Private Sector is enlisted in the employers Register of Nayagarh District.
The
Employment Officer is given
power to verify the establishments under C.N.V and O.R.V. Act. Unit
of Vocational Guidance:- The vocational guidance unit of the District Employment Exchange, Nayagarh has been started functioning since 1995. The main activities under this unit are as follows: i) Individual guidance to the job seekers ii) To conduct Group Guidance Programme. iii) To organize career talks and career conferences in schools and colleges. iv) Motivation for Self Employment v)
Conduct pre-recruitment training for defence forces. Statistical

State Employment Policy 2005:- It is well understood that unemployment problem is increasing by leaps and bounds day by day. It is a problem here, there and everywhere and said to be global problem. Keeping this problem in view the Government has launched an 11 Employment Mission to address the unemployment problem. The State Employment mission Orissa(SEMO) not only gives importance on paid employment but also stressed on self employment very much. Regular employment, contractual employment, wage employment and self employment are coming under the scope of employment. Realizing very limited scope for generation of employment in organized sector, the State Government have accorded very high priority on generation of self employment to reduce unemployment problem in the State. The Government have mounted a special drive on self employment programme. The skill up gradation training programme under employment mission is taken up and job seekers are sponsored to different institutions for undergoing training on the following trades. This is an ongoing scheme.
The duration of training is of 6 months and it is free of cost. The desirous candidates may contact District Employment Exchange for details. There is provision to receive applications under this scheme all times.
