Rural Development Department of Nayagarh District have taken up 56 No. of road works in PMGSY and A.D.B. Scheme till date is going to take up 20 nos. of more roads within this month to connect the habitations having populations more than 1,000 in number. Out of these 76 roads in total, 36 nos. of roads has already been completed with total K.M. of B.T.Road completed is 99.00 K.M. and total completed C.C.Road is of length of 18.00 KM. Apart from this the Rural Development Department has taken up two road works under NABARD Scheme at Daspalla i.e. 1. Construction of Andharkote to Ghugudipada Road including bridgework and 2.Construction of Kankanmendhi to Kujamendhi road including bridge work and 2. Construction of Kankanmendhi to Kujamendhi road including bridge work. One High level bridge work in Nayagarh on Itamati-Sunalati Biruda road has been taken up in NABARD Scheme. All the NABARD works are in progress. All the NABARD and PMGSY works are closely monitored by this Department whose qualities of construction are being assessed by the Quality Control Monitors coming from State level as well as National level. The Department has taken up improvement of it’s own department road of 11 nos. in 12th Financial Commission Scheme for an amount of Rs.403.00 lakhs and 55 nos. of Building repairing and renovation works of different department at a cost of Rs.210.00 lakhs in 12th Finance Commission. Apart from these we are maintaining our own roads of 540.00 km. Of length and Buildings of different departments of total plinth area of 3,20,136 Sqm.
